While Windows is expensive, often requires equally expensive companion software, and is prone to bugs and instability, Ubuntu is much less expensive (free), comes with companion software such as antivirus software and an office suite, and is far less prone to bugs and instability.

Sveasoft

Talisman Software, by Sveasoft, has the ability to give the functionality of large, expensive routers to selected small, relatively inexpensive routers. The Talisman firmware allows configuration of router settings including the power to the antennas, and allows high-level functionality like meshing several routers into one large coverage area.
