A user-friendly, stable and inexpensive operating system, Xandros is our preferred workstation platform. While Windows is expensive, often requires equally expensive companion software, and is prone to bugs and instability, Xandros is much less expensive (even free, if the Open Circulation Edition meets your needs), comes with companion software such as Antivirus software and an Office suite, and is far less prone to bugs and instability.

Uninterruptible power sources (UPSes) are a necessity for any home or business where computer functionality is critical. Sveasoft

Talisman Software, by Sveasoft, has the ability to give the functionality of large, expensive routers to selected small, relatively inexpensive routers. The Talisman firmware allows configuration of router settings including the power to the antennas, and allows high-level functionality like meshing several routers into one large coverage area.
