UNIX Servers

A safe, stable and flexible operating system, FreeBSD is our server platform of choice. Our servers can be set up to perform tasks such as web hosting, mail hosting, housing windows shares, and backing up important data both on the server and on individual UNIX, Linux, Macintosh and Windows workstations.

Web page creation and maintenance

We offer flexible services in the area of web design and maitenance, from complete web design by our team, to putting your ideas and design onto the web, to simply updating your existing web site. From a simple page, to a more complicated site including local searches and distributor locators, to full e-commerce sites, we have the expertise and the means to make your webpage ideas become reality.

Backup for Servers and PCs

For Windows and Novell servers, we recommend Symantec Backup Exec. For UNIX servers and Linux workstations, we recommend Bacula. For Windows workstations, we recommend Roxio BackUp My PC.

Workstation Installation and Troubleshooting

While we do not generally put together workstations ourselves, we are happy to advise you through the process of selecting appropriate computers from major manufacturers and setting them up at your location. If the needs of your application are not met by standard hardware, we can custom-build the computers you need. We can provide a full range of peripherals to meet any need. We also troubleshoot existing PCs, fixing problems with both software and hardware.

Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS)

We recommend that all important electronic equipment, such as computers, be put on a UPS or battery backup system. These units provide protection from surges, above and beyond the protection offered by most surge suppressing plug strips, and provide a time period of operation in the event of a power outage, giving you the time needed to save your work and shut your computer down properly. As an Eaton PowerWare partner, we can fulfill all of your UPS needs.

Data Recovery

When a hard disk crashes or a computer refuses to boot, it can be a traumatic and worrisome experience. If you realize your most recent backup is not recent enough to include all of your data, data recovery can become critical. As a Seagate data recovery partner, we offer a range of data recovery options, from the simpler methods we can try in our office to sending the drive to Seagate's specialized center for evaluation and/or data recovery.
